  1. 1. Bring milk, cinnamon stick, and lemon peel to a boil in a pot.
  2. 2. Remove the pot from the heat and remove cinnamon and lemon. Let the milk cool down.
  3. 3. Dip the bread slices briefly into the milk until they are soft. Remove them.
  4. 4. Whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl.
  5. 5. Moisten the sunken bread slices with the egg, but do not make them wet.
  6. 6. Fry the slices golden brown on both sides in hot oil in the frying pan.
  7. 7. Mix sugar and cinnamon powder. Roll the hot torrijas in it.
