🍞 Oven Torrijas

Ingredients
- 4 Scheiben Stale bread (slices)
- 200 ml Milk
- 1 Stück Cinnamon stick
- 1 Stück Lemon peel
- 2 Stück Eggs (size M)
- 30 g Sugar
- 1 TL Cinnamon powder
- 100 ml Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Bring milk, cinnamon stick, and lemon peel to a boil in a pot.
- 2. Remove the pot from the heat and remove cinnamon and lemon. Let the milk cool down.
- 3. Dip the bread slices briefly into the milk until they are soft. Remove them.
- 4. Whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl.
- 5. Moisten the sunken bread slices with the egg, but do not make them wet.
- 6. Fry the slices golden brown on both sides in hot oil in the frying pan.
- 7. Mix sugar and cinnamon powder. Roll the hot torrijas in it.
