  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the pears into equal-sized quarters.
  2. 2. Melt the butter in an ovenproof pan (24 cm). Stir in the sugar and let it simmer into a caramel without stirring.
  3. 3. Arrange the pear halves closely in the caramel. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cook for 5 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. 4. Fry the bacon cubes in a separate pan until crispy and add them to the pears.
  5. 5. Spread the pesto thinly onto the puff pastry and place it with the pesto side down over the pears. Press the edges firmly.
  6. 6. Bake the tart for 25 minutes in the oven until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
  7. 7. Let the tart cool in the pan for 2 minutes. Place a large plate over the pan and quickly flip it over so the pears are on top.
