🍞 Caramelized Pain Perdu Casserole

Ingredients
- 300 g Stale Baguette (sliced into 2 cm thick slices)
- 4 Stück Eggs (Size M)
- 200 ml Milk
- 100 g Raspberry Jam
- 40 g Sugar
- 30 g Butter (cold chunks)
- 2 g Cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Use a 20x20 cm baking dish. Arrange the baguette slices side by side in the dish.
- 2. Use a spoon to dot the raspberry jam in small patches over the bread.
- 3. Whisk eggs, milk, and sugar in a separate bowl. Pour the liquid evenly over the bread. Press the bread down slightly so it absorbs the liquid.
- 4. Place the casserole in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to allow the bread to soak completely.
- 5. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Take the casserole out of the fridge and sprinkle cinnamon over it. Distribute the cold butter pieces on the surface.
- 6. Bake the casserole for 25 minutes in the oven until the surface is golden brown and crispy.
- 7. Take the casserole out of the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
