  3. 3. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in eggs and vanilla.
  4. 4. Add flour, baking powder, and salt, then mix in the date mixture.
  5. 5. Pour into a greased dish and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.
  6. 6. For the sauce, heat cream and brown sugar over medium heat until simmering.
  7. 7. Serve warm with the sauce.
