🫑 Oven Stuffed Peppers with Spinach and Feta

Ingredients
- 4 Stück Red bell peppers (large)
- 200 g Fresh spinach (washed)
- 150 g Feta cheese (crumbled)
- 1 kleine Onion (finely diced)
- 1 Zehe Garlic (minced)
- 2 EL Olive oil
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Black pepper
- 1 EL Basil (fresh, chopped)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Calculate the time until the oven is hot.
- 2. Wash the peppers and cut off the top. Remove the seeds and white membranes inside. Place the peppers in a baking dish.
- 3. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté the diced onion in it for 3 minutes until transparent.
- 4. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the fresh spinach and cook until it has wilted (approx. 2 minutes).
- 5. Remove the pan from the heat. Mix the crumbled feta, salt, pepper, and chopped basil into the spinach mixture.
- 6. Fill each pepper generously with the spinach-feta mixture. Press the filling slightly to close gaps.
- 7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil. Bake the stuffed peppers for 25 minutes in the oven.
- 8. Remove the aluminum foil. Bake the peppers for another 10 minutes without cover until the filling is slightly golden and the peppers are soft.
- 9. Remove the peppers from the oven. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving on plates.
