🍅 Spanish Meatballs in Tomato Sauce (Albóndigas)

Ingredients
- 500 g Ground Beef
- 50 g Breadcrumbs
- 50 ml Milk
- 1 Stk Egg Yolk
- 3 Stk Garlic Cloves
- 30 g Tomato Paste
- 400 g Crushed Tomatoes
- 10 g Paprika Powder (Sweet)
- 500 ml Beef Bouillon
- 30 ml Olive Oil
Instructions
- 1. Soak the breadcrumbs in the milk. Squeeze out the milk and mix it in a bowl with the ground meat, egg yolk, and chopped garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2. Form 16 equal-sized meatballs from the mixture (approx. 40g each).
- 3. Heat the olive oil in a large pot. Brown the meatballs over medium heat for approx. 5 minutes. Remove them from the pot and place them on a plate.
- 4. Add the tomato paste to the pot and stir for 1 minute. Then add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Stir well.
- 5. Sprinkle the paprika powder over the sauce. Place the meatballs back into the pot. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and let the albóndigas simmer for 20 minutes.
- 6. Serve the meatballs hot with rice or bread.
