  1. 1. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, chopped onion, garlic, paprika powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Knead the mixture well.
  2. 2. Form 16-20 small, walnut-sized meatballs from the mixture. Heat the olive oil in a pot and fry the meatballs all around until brown. Remove them from the pot and set aside.
  3. 3. Add the tomato paste to the pot and stir briefly. Add the passata and approx. 200 ml of water. Stir until the tomato paste has dissolved.
  4. 4. Return the fried meatballs to the sauce. Cover the pot and simmer the albóndigas over low heat for approx. 20 minutes.
  5. 5. Season the sauce to taste with a little more salt and pepper. Serve the meatballs hot, preferably with rice or bread.
