1. Boil plenty of salted water. Cook the spaghetti al dente (still firm to the bite), drain them and let them drip dry.
2. Sauté the garlic in oil in a large pot. Add the mussels, pour in the wine and lemon juice. Cook everything on high heat with the lid on for about 5 minutes until the mussels open.
3. Strain the cooking liquid, bring it back to a boil and season with salt, pepper and a few drops of Tabasco. Stir in the saffron.
4. Wash the snow peas and remove the ends. Cook them for about 4 minutes in boiling salted water, drain them and let them drip dry.
5. Peel the shallots and slice them. Fry them in hot butter in a pan. Add them together with the snow peas to the seasoned sauce.
6. Warm the mussels and spaghetti in the sauce and serve the dish.
