  2. 2. Whisk eggs, milk, mustard, salt and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. 3. Sprinkle two bread slices with cheese and the others with bacon.
  4. 4. Place the topped slices on top of the plain slices.
  5. 5. Dip sandwiches briefly in egg mixture until fully soaked.
  6. 6. Fry sandwiches in butter on both sides until golden brown.
  7. 7. Cut sandwiches diagonally in half and serve warm.
