  1. 1. Blanch the white cabbage in a large pot of water until the leaves are soft.
  2. 2. Dice the onion and sauté in a pan.
  3. 3. Add the rice and tomato paste to the onion and sauté briefly.
  4. 4. Combine the ground beef with the onion-rice mixture, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. 5. Place the filling on the cabbage leaves, roll them up, and layer them in a pot.
  6. 6. Add some water and let the Sarmale simmer for 1-2 hours.
