Ingredients
- 200g Salmon Fillet
- 1 EL Lemon Juice
- 1 EL Capers
- 2 EL Olive Oil
- 1 EL Butter
- 1 EL Parsley
Instructions
- 1. Pat the 200 g salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Never wash it, or it will become mushy.
- 2. Season the salmon generously with salt and pepper. Sprinkle evenly on both sides.
- 3. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a small bowl. Place the salmon in it and turn it until it’s coated.
- 4. Pour 1 tablespoon of lemon juice over the salmon. Rub the acid in gently.
- 5. Finely chop the parsley. Make sure the leaves are small.
- 6. Place 1 tablespoon of capers in a small sieve. Drain off the brine.
- 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This is the medium setting for fish.
- 8. Place the salmon on the air fryer rack. Ensure it doesn’t touch the sides.
- 9. Cook the salmon in the air fryer at 180 °C for 10 minutes, until it’s golden brown.
- 10. Carefully remove the salmon. Place it on a plate and loosely cover it with foil.
- 11. Place 1 tablespoon of butter in a small saucepan. Melt it over medium heat.
- 12. Add the drained capers to the melting butter. Stir briefly until fragrant.
- 13. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir the chopped parsley into the hot butter-caper mixture.
- 14. Pour the warm sauce directly over the salmon. Distribute the capers evenly over the fillet.
- 15. Serve the salmon immediately. It’s perfect when the flesh looks flaky and juicy.
