  1. 1. In a pot, bring sugar and water to a boil and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. 2. Add glucose syrup and salmiac powder and stir well.
  3. 3. Heat the mixture to 138°C and let simmer for another 10 minutes on low heat.
  4. 4. Remove from heat, add pepper and licorice extract, and stir well.
  5. 5. Pour the mixture into a baking dish lined with parchment paper and let cool.
  6. 6. Cut into pieces and enjoy.
