  1. 1. Finely chop the onion and press the garlic. Wash the spinach.
  2. 2. Heat the olive oil in a deep pot. Sauté the onion for 4 minutes and add the garlic and chili flakes for 1 minute.
  3. 3. Pour the vegetable broth into the pot and bring it to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the orzo pasta and cook it according to package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes) in the broth.
  5. 5. Stir the spinach into the pasta and cook for another 2 minutes until the spinach has wilted.
  6. 6. Squeeze the juice of half the lemon over the stew and season with salt.
  7. 7. Serve the stew with the roasted pine nuts and the remaining lemon half.
