  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Finely chop the onions and garlic.
  3. 3. Heat the olive oil in a pan and brown the chicken cubes. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
  4. 4. Sauté the onions and garlic in the same pan until soft. Add the chicken cubes back in.
  5. 5. In a bowl, mix the chicken broth, cream, chopped rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  6. 6. Place a layer of potato slices in a greased baking dish. Spread the chicken-onion mixture on top. Repeat the layers.
  7. 7. Pour the cream-broth mixture over the potatoes. Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  8. 8. Bake the gratin for 40 minutes in the oven until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbling.
