🥘 Cozy Root Vegetable and Sausage Casserole

Ingredients
- 3 Stück Beetroot
- 500 g Potatoes
- 1 Stück Onions
- 400 g Farmhouse sausage
- 200 ml Milk
- 1 Prise Nutmeg
- 1/2 TL Salt
- 20 g Butter
- 100 g Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
- 2. Peel the beets and potatoes and slice them into thin rounds.
- 3. Dice the onion and cut the sausage into coarse chunks.
- 4. Sauté the onions in butter until translucent and add the sausage for 2 minutes.
- 5. Layer the beets and potatoes alternately in a baking dish.
- 6. Mix the milk with nutmeg and salt and pour it over the vegetables.
- 7. Distribute the sausage-onion mixture evenly over the vegetables.
- 8. Bake the dish in the oven for 30 minutes.
- 9. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
