🥕 Roasted Parsnip Apple Gratin with Sage

Ingredients
- 500 g Parsnips
- 2 Stk. Apples (e.g., Boskoop)
- 1 Stk. Onions
- 200 ml Whole milk
- 1 Prise Nutmeg
- 30 g Butter
- 10 Blätter Sage (fresh)
- 80 g Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 1 Prise Salt
- 1 Prise Black pepper
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius (conventional heat).
- 2. Peel the parsnips and cut them into thick slices or cubes.
- 3. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. Finely dice the onion.
- 4. Fry the onions and parsnips in the butter in a pan for approx. 5 minutes.
- 5. Mix the vegetables with the apple pieces in a baking dish.
- 6. Pour the milk over the vegetables and season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- 7. Fry the sage leaves in a little oil until crisp and fold them in.
- 8. Top the gratin with the cheddar and bake until golden brown for 45 minutes.
