🥩 Quick Steak Frites with Herb Butter

Ingredients
- 400 g Beef Steak (e.g. Rump Steak)
- 500 g Potatoes
- 30 g Butter
- 2 EL Olive Oil
- 4 Zweige Thyme (fresh)
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into even sticks (fries).
- 2. Parboil the potato sticks in salted water for 8 minutes and drain them.
- 3. Fry the parboiled potatoes in olive oil in a large pan until golden brown and crispy.
- 4. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 5. Fry the steak in the same pan (possibly with a little oil) for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness.
- 6. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes while you prepare the herb butter.
- 7. Mix the soft butter with the chopped thyme and place a dollop on the warm steak.
- 8. Serve the fries and the steak immediately.
