  1. 1. Wash the chicken and pat it dry. Season it generously with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Cut all bell peppers and the onion into coarse strips.
  3. 3. Heat the olive oil in a large casserole dish. Fry the chicken brown on both sides (approx. 10 minutes). Remove it.
  4. 4. Sauté the onions and pepper strips in the fat for 5 minutes until soft.
  5. 5. Add the garlic and paprika powder and stir for 1 minute.
  6. 6. Pour in the tomatoes. Return the chicken to the pot. Cover it.
  7. 7. Let the dish simmer on medium heat for 25 minutes.
  8. 8. Remove the lid and let the vegetable cook down for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. 9. Taste and adjust with salt and pepper. Serve the chicken with the sauce hot.
