Ingredients
- 500g Potatoes
- 200g Ham
- 200ml Heavy Cream
- 100g Gruyère
- 50g Butter
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Peel the 500 g potatoes and wash them thoroughly.
- 2. Slice the potatoes into very thin, even slices (about 2 mm).
- 3. Cut the 200 g ham into strips approximately 1 cm wide.
- 4. Dice the 50 g butter into small cubes.
- 5. Pour the 200 ml heavy cream into a large bowl and season with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.
- 6. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C using top and bottom heat.
- 7. Add half of the potato slices to the hot cream and stir them in.
- 8. Layer the creamy potatoes into a small, oven-safe baking dish.
- 9. Distribute half of the ham strips evenly over the potatoes.
- 10. Add the remaining potato slices and ham strips to the dish.
- 11. Spread the butter cubes evenly over the top layer.
- 12. Place the dish in the air fryer and close the drawer.
- 13. Bake the gratin at 180 °C for 20 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked through.
- 14. Sprinkle the 100 g grated Gruyère cheese evenly over the gratin.
- 15. Bake the gratin for another 15 minutes, until the surface is golden brown.
- 16. Pierce the center with a knife: the potatoes should be tender.
- 17. Let the gratin rest for 5 minutes so the sauce thickens.
- 18. Serve the gratin directly in the dish; it’s perfect when creamy and golden brown.
