  1. 1. Cut the peppers in half lengthwise and remove the core.
  2. 2. Slice the halloumi into thick slices and fry them in the pan on both sides until golden brown.
  3. 3. Place the pepper halves in the pan (cut side down).
  4. 4. Finely dice the onion and garlic and add them around the peppers in the pan.
  5. 5. Dissolve the tomato paste with the broth and sugar and pour it slightly around the peppers.
  6. 6. Let the peppers steam for about 8 minutes until tender.
  7. 7. Serve the stuffed peppers next to the fried halloumi slices.
