  3. 3. Sauté onion in butter, mix with potatoes and cottage cheese.
  4. 4. Roll out the dough and cut into small circles.
  5. 5. Place filling in circles, fold and seal tightly.
  6. 6. Cook pierogi in boiling water for 5-7 minutes.
  7. 7. Serve with onions or sour cream as desired.
