  1. 1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot and cook the penne according to package instructions.
  2. 2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large pan.
  3. 3. Add garlic and chili, sauté for about 1-2 minutes over medium heat until the garlic is golden.
  4. 4. Add canned tomatoes to the pan and let simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. 5. Drain the cooked penne and add to the pan with the sauce. Mix well.
  6. 6. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the chopped parsley.
  7. 7. Serve and garnish with more parsley if desired.
