🍲 Paella with Smoked Paprika and Croutons

Ingredients
- 400 g Paella rice (or risotto rice)
- 500 g Chicken breast fillet
- 4 Stück Garlic cloves
- 2 EL Dried smoked paprika flakes
- 1 EL Tomato paste
- 800 ml Vegetable broth
- 4 EL Olive oil
- 1 Stück Onion
- 1 Stück Red bell pepper
- 4 Scheiben Ciabatta bread
Instructions
- 1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes. Season them with a little salt and pepper.
- 2. Dice the onion and bell pepper finely. Crush the garlic finely.
- 3. Cut the ciabatta slices into cubes. Fry them in a pan with a little oil until golden brown and sprinkle lightly with salt.
- 4. Heat the olive oil in a large pan or paella pan. Fry the chicken over high heat until brown. Remove it and set aside.
- 5. Sweat the onions in the same fat until translucent. Add the garlic and pepper cubes. Cook for 3 minutes.
- 6. Stir in the tomato paste and smoked paprika. Cook the spices for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 7. Pour the rice into the pan and stir briefly so that it combines with the oil and spices.
- 8. Pour the hot vegetable broth over the rice. Bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat to low.
- 9. Place the fried chicken and pepper pieces evenly on the rice. Cook the rice open, without stirring.
- 10. Remove the pan from the stove. Place the toasted bread cubes decoratively on the rice. Cover the pan with foil and let it rest for 5 minutes.
