  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (fan off).
  2. 2. Dice the onion and garlic finely. Heat the oil in a coated baking dish and sauté the vegetables for 3 minutes until soft.
  3. 3. Add the crushed tomatoes, salt, and sugar. Let the sauce reduce on the stove for 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Fill the baking dish evenly with the frozen ravioli. Pour the tomato sauce over them.
  5. 5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil. Bake the pasta in the oven for 20 minutes.
  6. 6. Remove the dish from the oven. Remove the foil and place the mozzarella balls and torn basil on top of the pasta.
  7. 7. Bake the pasta for another 10 minutes without foil until the cheese melts and turns slightly brown.
