  2. 2. Dice the onion and sauté in olive oil, add the ground beef and cook well.
  3. 3. Add crushed tomatoes and spices, simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Rinse the eggplants, pat dry, and sauté in a pan with a bit of olive oil.
  5. 5. In a baking dish, layer alternately eggplant, meat sauce, and crumbled cheese.
  6. 6. Beat the egg and pour it over the layers.
  7. 7. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
