Ingredients
- 200 g Tuna Steak
- 100 g Olives
- 200 g Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 Onion
- 2 Garlic Clove
- 2 EL Olive Oil
- 1 EL Lemon Juice
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
Instructions
- 1. Cut the tuna into 2 equally thick steaks. Pat them dry – never wash, or they’ll become mushy.
- 2. Season the steaks with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper. Rub the seasoning in well.
- 3. Slice the onion into fine rings. Gently separate the rings with your fingers.
- 4. Halve the 200 g cherry tomatoes. Cut them in the middle.
- 5. Halve the 100 g olives. Cut them lengthwise.
- 6. Finely chop the 2 garlic cloves. Make sure they aren’t too small, so they don’t burn.
- 7. Mix the onion rings, tomatoes, olives, and garlic in a bowl.
- 8. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Stir everything well.
- 9. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 10. Place the tuna steaks in the air fryer basket. Make sure they don’t overlap.
- 11. Spread the vegetable-olive mix evenly over the steaks. Press it on gently.
- 12. Cook the dish at 180 °C for 10 minutes, until the fish is golden brown.
- 13. Carefully remove the tuna from the air fryer. Let it rest for 2 minutes to redistribute the juices.
- 14. Place the steaks on plates. Top with the hot vegetable-olive mix. The fish should be pink and juicy.
