Ingredients

Instructions

  1. 1. Chop the 2 cloves of garlic very finely. Important: Don't chop it too small, or it will burn quickly.
  2. 2. Pat the 200 g fish fillets dry with paper towels. Never rinse them, as this will make them mushy.
  3. 3. Mix the finely chopped garlic with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper in a small bowl.
  4. 4. Rub the fish fillets with the garlic mixture. Make sure each side is covered.
  5. 5. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of lemon juice evenly over the marinated fillets. This will tenderize the meat.
  6. 6. Let the fillets rest for 10 minutes at room temperature. This allows the flavor to penetrate the fish.
  7. 7. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This is the medium setting, ideal for fish.
  8. 8. Place the fillets flat in the air fryer basket. Make sure they don't touch.
  9. 9. Spread the remaining marinade from the bowl over the fillets. Don't let anything go to waste.
  10. 10. Place the 4 lemon slices loosely on top of the fillets. They will smell fantastic while cooking.
  11. 11. Cook the fish at 180 °C for 10 minutes, until it is golden brown. The heat circulates evenly around the meat.
  12. 12. Carefully remove the slices and flip the fillets over. This will make them golden brown all around.
  13. 13. Cook the fillets for another 3-5 minutes. They are ready when the meat is white and flakes easily.
  14. 14. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of dried oregano over the top. This gives it a final Mediterranean touch.
  15. 15. Serve the fish immediately on plates. It's perfect when it easily separates with a fork.
