🍽️ Meatballs with Tomato Sauce in the Air Fryer

Ingredients
- 500g Ground beef
- 100g Breadcrumbs
- 1 Onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 Egg
- 1 TL Salt
- 1 TL Pepper
- 2 EL Tomato paste
- 400g Tomato sauce
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the air fryer to 180 °C. This takes about 3 minutes.
- 2. Peel the onion and dice it finely.
- 3. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
- 4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a small pan over medium heat.
- 5. Fry the onion cubes for about 3 minutes, until they are soft.
- 6. Add the garlic and fry it for 1 minute with the onions.
- 7. Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool.
- 8. Place the 500g ground beef in a large bowl.
- 9. Add the cooled onion-garlic mixture.
- 10. Add the 100g breadcrumbs, the egg, and the tomato paste.
- 11. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.
- 12. Knead everything together with your hands for about 2 minutes until it forms a smooth mass.
- 13. Form 12 equal-sized meatballs and place them in the air fryer basket.
- 14. Cook the meatballs in the air fryer at 180 °C for about 10 minutes, turning them after 5 minutes for even browning, until they are golden brown.
- 15. Pour the 400g tomato sauce into a pot and heat it.
- 16. Remove the cooked meatballs from the air fryer and add them to the sauce.
- 17. Let everything simmer gently in the pot for another 2 minutes.
- 18. Serve the meatballs with sauce in bowls.
- 19. Serve them when the meatballs are firm and the sauce smells fragrant.
