  1. 1. Peel the vegetable onions and cut into rings about 1 cm thick. Thread one ring onto a skewer each and brush with oil.
  2. 2. Rinse the rosemary thoroughly, shake off excess water, strip the needles from the stems and chop coarsely. In a bowl, mix beet syrup with mustard. Add the rosemary and season with salt.
  3. 3. Preheat the grill. Grill the onion rings on the edge of the grill at medium temperature for about 10 minutes, turning regularly. Brush with the rosemary marinade and grill for another approx. 2 minutes until they caramelize slightly.
  4. 4. Remove the grilled onions from the grill and serve. Enjoy your meal! Note: The onion is threaded onto a skewer so it doesn't fall apart while grilling. Excess parts can be cut off.
