🥗 Fresh Citrus Salad with Pomegranate

Ingredients
- Oranges 4 pcs
- Sugar 60 g
- Cinnamon pinch
- Grapefruit 2 pcs
- Clementine 2 pcs
- Pomegranate 1 pcs
- Mint, fresh 10 g
Instructions
- 1. Wash one orange thoroughly under hot water.
- 2. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel.
- 3. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
- 4. Place the orange juice, grated peel, sugar, and cinnamon in a pot.
- 5. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it boils.
- 6. Let the syrup simmer for about three minutes.
- 7. Stir occasionally while simmering.
- 8. Remove the pot from the heat and let the syrup cool down.
- 9. Peel the remaining oranges, the grapefruit, and the clementines using a sharp knife.
- 10. Make sure to remove all the white pith completely.
- 11. Slice the fruits into thin pieces.
- 12. Remove any seeds from the slices.
- 13. Separate and discard the white central part of the slices.
- 14. Cut the pomegranate in half.
- 15. Tap the pomegranate halves with a spoon to release the seeds.
- 16. Remove the white membranes from the seeds.
- 17. Wash the mint.
- 18. Shake the mint dry.
- 19. Pluck the mint leaves from the stems.
- 20. Finely chop the mint leaves.
- 21. Mix the citrus fruits with the cooled syrup.
- 22. Divide the salad among four deep plates.
- 23. Garnish the salad with the pomegranate seeds.
- 24. Sprinkle the chopped mint over the top.
