  1. 1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the green tops, and slice them. Halve the melons, remove the seeds, and use a cookie cutter to form balls from the flesh. Wash the mint, pat dry, and chop finely. Wash the lemon and grate about 1 tsp of the zest.
  2. 2. In a bowl, beat 125 g of butter with a hand mixer and whisk until creamy. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt, and mix well.
  3. 3. Beat the eggs and gradually add them to the mixture while stirring constantly. Fold in the flour, baking powder, milk, and lemon zest until a thick batter forms. If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk.
  4. 4. Preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease it. Pour one ladleful of batter into the mold and bake the waffles for about 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Serve the warm waffles with fruits, vanilla ice cream, and fresh mint. Enjoy your meal!
