🥤 Fresh Lemonade with Homemade Lemon Syrup

Ingredients
- Lemons 6 pcs
- Water 500 ml
- Sugar 250 g
- Mint, fresh 10 g
- Ice cubes 5 tbsp
- Sparkling water, classic 1 L
Instructions
- 1. Wash four lemons under hot water.
- 2. Peel the zest of the lemons using a vegetable peeler until you reach the white pith.
- 3. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 4. Put water, sugar, and the lemon zest into a pot.
- 5. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 6. Let the syrup simmer gently for about five minutes.
- 7. Remove the lemon zest from the pot.
- 8. Add the fresh lemon juice to the syrup.
- 9. Pour the hot lemon syrup into a bottle.
- 10. Wash two more lemons under hot water.
- 11. Slice these lemons into thin rounds.
- 12. Wash the mint and pluck the leaves from the stems.
- 13. Put ice cubes, lemon slices, and mint into a large pitcher.
- 14. Pour the lemon syrup into the pitcher.
- 15. Top up the drink with mineral water.
