🍰 Juicy Lemon Cake with Glaze

Ingredients
- oil for greasing 1 tbsp
- lemons 2 pcs
- butter 250 g
- sugar 150 g
- eggs 4 pcs
- wheat flour, type 405 250 g
- baking powder 1 packet
- powdered sugar 300 g
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Grease a loaf pan generously with butter or oil.
- 3. Wash the lemons thoroughly under running water.
- 4. Grate about two teaspoons of the lemon zest finely.
- 5. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 6. Stir butter, sugar, and two tablespoons of lemon juice together in a large bowl for a short time.
- 7. Add the eggs one by one to the mixture and stir each egg in well before adding the next one.
- 8. Add flour, baking powder, and the grated lemon zest to the bowl.
- 9. Stir the ingredients well until a uniform batter forms.
- 10. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- 11. Bake the cake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
- 12. Carefully remove the cake from the oven.
- 13. Let the cake cool down completely.
- 14. Stir two tablespoons of lemon juice with powdered sugar in a small bowl.
- 15. Stir until a thick glaze forms.
- 16. Pour the glaze evenly over the cooled cake.
- 17. Wait until the glaze has set.
- 18. Slice the cake and serve it.
