  2. 2. Peel a strip of zest from the lemon using a vegetable peeler.
  3. 3. Cut the lemon in half.
  4. 4. Squeeze the juice from the lemon halves.
  5. 5. Wash the cucumber.
  6. 6. Peel the cucumber into thin strips using a vegetable peeler.
  7. 7. Thread the cucumber strips onto a skewer if you like.
  8. 8. Pour the gin into a long drink glass.
  9. 9. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice.
  10. 10. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  11. 11. Top up the drink with chilled tonic water.
  12. 12. Add the lemon zest and the cucumber skewer to the glass.
  13. 13. Serve the lemon gin tonic.
