🍰 Fluffy Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
- milk 250 ml
- yeast, fresh 0.5 pcs
- sugar 130 g
- butter 150 g
- salt pinch
- cardamom, ground 0.5 tsp
- eggs 2 pcs
- wheat flour, Type 405 600 g
- cinnamon 1 tsp
Instructions
- 1. Warm the milk in a pot for about 1 minute until it is lukewarm.
- 2. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm milk and stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until the yeast has dissolved.
- 3. Cover the pot and let the yeast-milk mixture rest for about 10 minutes.
- 4. Pour the yeast-milk mixture into a bowl.
- 5. Add 80 grams of sugar, 100 grams of butter, a pinch of salt, cardamom, 1 egg, and the flour.
- 6. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 7. Let the dough rise for 1 hour.
- 8. Divide the dough into two halves.
- 9. Roll out each half on a floured surface into a rectangle about 5 millimeters thick.
- 10. Melt the remaining butter in a pot.
- 11. Brush the dough with the melted butter.
- 12. Evenly sprinkle the dough with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 0.5 teaspoon of cinnamon each.
- 13. Roll up the dough starting from the long side.
- 14. Cut the dough into pieces about 3 centimeters thick.
- 15. Place the rolls on two baking sheets lined with baking paper.
- 16. Cover the rolls and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
- 17. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (conventional fan).
- 18. Whisk an egg in a bowl.
- 19. Brush the cinnamon rolls with the whisked egg.
- 20. Bake the cinnamon rolls in the oven for about 18 minutes until golden brown.
- 21. Let the cinnamon rolls cool down or serve them warm.
