🍽️ Wirsing Casserole with Potato Topping

Ingredients
- potatoes, floury 600 g
- salt pinch
- savoy cabbage 1 pc.
- carrots 4 pc.
- oil 2 tbsp
- ham cubes 125 g
- pepper, black ground pinch
- milk 100 ml
- butter 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them, and cut them into cubes. Bring to a boil in a pot with salted water and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
- 2. Wash the savoy cabbage, remove the core, and cut the leaves into thin strips. Peel the carrots, trim the ends, and slice them thinly.
- 3. Heat the oil in a pot over high heat and sauté the ham cubes together with the savoy cabbage and carrots for about 4 minutes. Add 100 ml of water and season with salt and pepper.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection). Drain the potatoes using a lid. Add the milk and butter and mash into a puree using a potato masher. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 5. Season the savoy cabbage and ham mixture, place it in a baking dish, spread the potato puree evenly on top, smooth it with a spoon or fork, and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. Serve the savoy cabbage casserole with potato topping hot. Enjoy your meal!
