  1. 1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them, and cut them into cubes. Bring to a boil in a pot with salted water and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  2. 2. Wash the savoy cabbage, remove the core, and cut the leaves into thin strips. Peel the carrots, trim the ends, and slice them thinly.
  3. 3. Heat the oil in a pot over high heat and sauté the ham cubes together with the savoy cabbage and carrots for about 4 minutes. Add 100 ml of water and season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection). Drain the potatoes using a lid. Add the milk and butter and mash into a puree using a potato masher. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Season the savoy cabbage and ham mixture, place it in a baking dish, spread the potato puree evenly on top, smooth it with a spoon or fork, and bake in the oven for about 15 minutes. Serve the savoy cabbage casserole with potato topping hot. Enjoy your meal!
