  1. 1. Cut the shallots in half through the middle and peel off the outer skin.
  2. 2. Place the shallots into the mixing container and put the measuring cup on top.
  3. 3. Chop the shallots for 2 seconds on the highest speed setting (turbo).
  4. 4. Use a spatula to push the chopped shallots down from the sides of the container.
  5. 5. Add the butter cubes and the bacon cubes.
  6. 6. Remove the measuring cup from the mixing container.
  7. 7. Sauté the ingredients for 4 minutes on the sauté setting.
  8. 8. Pour 900 milliliters of hot vegetable broth into the pot.
  9. 9. Place the measuring cup back onto the mixing container.
  10. 10. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius on setting 1.
  11. 11. Add the cream, the processed cheese, two pinches of pepper, and half a teaspoon of salt.
  12. 12. Mix everything for 15 seconds on setting 3.
  13. 13. Add the pasta to the mixing container.
  14. 14. Cook the pasta for 8 minutes in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius on setting 1.
  15. 15. Wash the Brussels sprouts and remove any wilted or rotten leaves.
  16. 16. Halve large Brussels sprout heads.
  17. 17. Add the Brussels sprouts and the remaining vegetable broth to the pot.
  18. 18. Cook the Brussels sprouts for 8 minutes in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius on setting 1.
  19. 19. Check if the pasta and Brussels sprouts are cooked through.
  20. 20. If necessary, continue cooking for another 2 minutes in reverse direction at 100 degrees Celsius on setting 1.
  21. 21. Let the pasta rest in the pot for about 1 minute.
  22. 22. Serve the dish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
