🍽️ Winter Chutney

Ingredients
- Bears 1 kg
- onions, red 300 g
- ginger, fresh 30 g
- balsamic vinegar, light 200 ml
- salt 2 tsp
- pepper, black ground 2 tsp
- allspice 2 tsp
- cinnamon 2 tsp
- brown sugar 200 g
- honey 2 tbsp
- cranberries, dried 150 g
Instructions
- 1. Peel the pears, halve them, remove the core, and cut into large pieces. Halve the onions, peel, and cut into small cubes. Peel the ginger and chop finely.
- 2. In a pot, simmer the pears together with vinegar, salt, spices, sugar, and honey, covered, over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then add the cranberries and continue to cook the chutney uncovered for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 3. Season the chutney with salt and pepper. Fill hot into sterilized jars, turn upside down, and let cool. Store cool and dark before serving. Enjoy your meal! Tip: The chutney goes excellently with chicken dishes. Store in the refrigerator after opening.
