🍽️ Game Meat Burger with Caramelized Mushrooms

Ingredients
- Venison Burger Patties 4 pcs
- Onions, red 2 pcs
- Cremini Mushrooms 200 g
- Thyme, fresh 15 g
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Sour Cherry Jam 2 tsp
- Salt Pinch
- Pepper, black ground Pinch
- Alpine Cheese Slices 4 slices
- Hamburger Buns 4 pcs
- Olive Oil 1 tbsp
- Mustard 1 tbsp
- Lettuce 50 g
Instructions
- 1. Thaw the game meat patties overnight in the refrigerator.
- 2. Halve the onions, peel them, and slice them into rings.
- 3. Clean the mushrooms with a kitchen towel and slice them.
- 4. Wash the thyme, shake it dry, and pick the leaves off the stems.
- 5. Heat a pan on the highest setting and add 2 tablespoons of oil.
- 6. Sauté the onion rings until they become translucent.
- 7. Add the mushroom slices and cook everything for about 3 minutes over medium heat.
- 8. Sprinkle the mixture with sugar and let it caramelize slightly.
- 9. Stir in the sour cherry jam and season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
- 10. Grill the patties on the hot grill for about 3 minutes on each side.
- 11. Place a slice of mountain cheese on each patty and let it melt for about 2 minutes.
- 12. Halve the burger buns and drizzle them with olive oil.
- 13. Place the buns cut-side down on the grill for about 1 minute.
- 14. Wash the lettuce leaves and shake them dry.
- 15. Spread some mustard on the bun halves.
- 16. Spread the onion-mushroom chutney on the bottom halves.
- 17. Place the patty on top and add a lettuce leaf.
- 18. Place the top bun on and serve the burgers.
