🍲 Classic White Asparagus

Ingredients
- white asparagus 2 kg
- lemons 1 pc
- salt 1 tsp
- sugar 0.5 tsp
- butter 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Peel the asparagus spears completely.
- 2. Cut off the woody lower ends.
- 3. Place the cut ends and peels in a pot.
- 4. Add enough water to cover everything.
- 5. Cover the pot with a lid.
- 6. Heat the water over medium heat.
- 7. Boil the peels for about 10 minutes.
- 8. Pour the liquid through a sieve into a bowl.
- 9. Reserve the asparagus broth.
- 10. Halve a lemon.
- 11. Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
- 12. Pour the asparagus broth into a clean pot.
- 13. Add salt, sugar, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and butter to the broth.
- 14. Bring the broth to a boil.
- 15. Place the peeled asparagus spears into the boiling broth.
- 16. Cook the asparagus for about 15 minutes.
- 17. Carefully remove the asparagus from the water.
- 18. Let the asparagus drain briefly.
- 19. Serve the asparagus immediately while warm.
