🍽️ Creamy White Bean Hummus with Fresh Vegetable Sticks

Ingredients
- Carrots 4 pcs
- Kohlrabi 1 pcs
- Cucumbers 1 pcs
- white beans in the can 400 g
- Garlic cloves 1 pcs
- Lemons 1 pcs
- Sesame, white 2 tbsp
- Cumin 0.25 tsp
- Salt pinch
Instructions
- 1. Wash the vegetables thoroughly under running water.
- 2. Peel the carrots and the kohlrabi.
- 3. Cut the carrots, kohlrabi, and cucumber into long, thin sticks.
- 4. Drain the white beans in a sieve and rinse them with cold water.
- 5. Peel the garlic and chop it roughly.
- 6. Wash the lemon under hot water.
- 7. Grate about one teaspoon of lemon zest finely.
- 8. Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice.
- 9. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat over medium heat until golden brown (approx. 4–5 minutes).
- 10. Place the beans, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, the garlic, the toasted sesame seeds, and cumin into a tall container.
- 11. Blend the mixture until very smooth.
- 12. If the mixture is too thick, add a little cold water.
- 13. Season the hummus with salt to taste.
- 14. Serve the hummus together with the vegetable sticks.
