🍰 Cookie Christmas Wreath

Ingredients
- flour, Type 405 250 g
- baking powder 0.5 tsp
- sugar 50 g
- vanilla sugar 1 tsp
- butter 100 g
- eggs 3 pcs.
- powdered sugar 250 g
Instructions
- 1. Mix 250 grams of flour, half a teaspoon of baking powder, 50 grams of sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla sugar in a bowl.
- 2. Add 100 grams of cold butter and one egg.
- 3. Knead the ingredients by hand into a firm dough.
- 4. Wrap the dough in cling film.
- 5. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about two hours.
- 6. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 7. Lightly flour your work surface.
- 8. Roll out the dough on the floured surface to a thickness of about 0.5 centimeters.
- 9. Cut out various shapes from the dough as you like.
- 10. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- 11. Bake the cookies in the oven for about 12 minutes.
- 12. Take the finished cookies out of the oven.
- 13. Set the cookies aside to cool.
- 14. Separate two eggs and use the yolks for another purpose.
- 15. Beat 50 grams of egg white stiffly using a hand mixer with a whisk attachment.
- 16. Sift powdered sugar into the egg white gradually.
- 17. Ensure the icing has a slightly firm consistency.
- 18. Fill the icing into a piping bag with a round tip.
- 19. Alternatively, fill the icing into a freezer bag and cut off a small corner.
- 20. Place half of the cookies closely together in a circle.
- 21. Glue the cookies of the circle together firmly.
- 22. Spread icing on the underside of the remaining cookies.
- 23. Stick these cookies onto the cookie circle to form a wreath.
- 24. Dust the Christmas wreath with powdered sugar.
