🍰 Christmas Apple-Pear Crumble

Ingredients
- Soft figs, dried 30 g
- Dried plums 30 g
- Raisins 15 g
- Dried cranberries 15 g
- white rum 4 tbsp
- Oranges 1 pc
- Cinnamon pinch
- Nutmeg, ground pinch
- Apples, green 2 pc
- Pears 2 pc
- Spekulatius cookies 40 g
- Brown sugar 30 g
- Butter 90 g
- Oat flakes, fine 75 g
- Almonds, ground 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Cut the figs and dried plums into small pieces.
- 2. Place the chopped figs and plums in a bowl together with the raisins and cranberries.
- 3. Pour the rum over the fruits.
- 4. Let the fruits soak in the rum for at least one hour.
- 5. Wash the orange thoroughly.
- 6. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange peel.
- 7. Cut the orange in half.
- 8. Squeeze the juice from the orange.
- 9. Add the orange juice and the grated peel to a separate bowl.
- 10. Add cinnamon and nutmeg to the bowl with the orange juice.
- 11. Mix the spices well with the juice.
- 12. Peel the apples and pears.
- 13. Quarter the apples and pears.
- 14. Core the apple and pear pieces.
- 15. Cut the cored pieces into small cubes.
- 16. Add the apple and pear cubes to the bowl with the orange mixture.
- 17. Mix the fruits well with the orange mixture.
- 18. Add the soaked dried fruits along with the rum to the fruit mixture.
- 19. Grease a baking dish.
- 20. Fill the fruit mixture into the greased baking dish.
- 21. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 22. Crumb the speculoos cookies.
- 23. Add the sugar, soft butter, oat flakes, and almonds to a bowl.
- 24. Knead the ingredients together to form a crumble dough.
- 25. Briefly knead the crumbled speculoos cookies into the dough.
- 26. Distribute the crumble topping evenly over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
- 27. Bake the crumble in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
- 28. Take the crumble out of the oven.
- 29. Let the crumble cool down to lukewarm.
