  1. 1. In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, salt, flour, and walnuts well with a hand mixer and dough hooks. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
  2. 2. Preheat the oven to 175 °C (top/bottom heat). Roll out the dough on baking paper to a rectangle about 1 cm thick and place it on a baking sheet.
  3. 3. Bake for about 30 minutes in the oven until golden brown. Cover with aluminum foil after 15 minutes so the shortbread doesn't get too dark. Cut the hot shortbread into pieces, let it cool, and serve. Enjoy your meal!
