  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) conventional heat.
  2. 2. Chop the white chocolate into small pieces.
  3. 3. Cut 100 grams of butter into small cubes.
  4. 4. Melt the chocolate pieces and butter cubes together in a bowl placed over a pot of hot water (double boiler).
  5. 5. Remove the bowl from the heat and let the chocolate mixture cool down slightly.
  6. 6. Roughly chop the walnuts.
  7. 7. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and eggs to a large mixing bowl.
  8. 8. Beat the ingredients with a hand mixer and a whisk until thick and creamy.
  9. 9. Slowly pour the cooled butter-chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while stirring constantly.
  10. 10. Mix flour, baking powder, and the chopped walnuts in a separate small bowl.
  11. 11. Gently fold the flour mixture into the wet batter.
  12. 12. Spread the batter into a rectangular baking pan measuring approximately 20 x 25 cm.
  13. 13. Ensure the pan is lined with baking paper beforehand.
  14. 14. Bake the blondies for about 40 minutes in the oven.
  15. 15. Loosely cover the blondies with aluminum foil during the last 10 minutes of baking to prevent them from getting too dark.
  16. 16. Remove the pan from the oven and let the blondies cool completely on a wire rack.
  17. 17. Take the blondies out of the pan and remove the baking paper.
  18. 18. Wash an orange thoroughly.
  19. 19. Grate about one teaspoon of the orange zest finely.
  20. 20. Halve the orange and squeeze out the juice.
  21. 21. Beat the cream cheese and the remaining soft butter with a hand mixer until creamy.
  22. 22. Add the powdered sugar gradually and mix well until a smooth cream forms.
  23. 23. Add the grated orange zest and two teaspoons of orange juice to the cream.
  24. 24. Spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the cooled blondies.
  25. 25. Garnish the blondies with additional walnuts if desired.
  26. 26. Cut the blondies into individual pieces and serve.
