🍰 Walnut-Amarena Cupcakes

Ingredients
- Cherries in a jar 100 g
- Butter 160 g
- Sugar 150 g
- Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
- Salt pinch
- Vanilla sugar 1 tsp
- Eggs 2 pcs
- Wheat flour, Type 405 200 g
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Milk 50 ml
- Cream cheese, plain 150 g
- Icing sugar 125 g
- Walnut kernels 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
- 2. Let the cherries drain in a sieve.
- 3. Mix 120 grams of soft butter with sugar, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla sugar in a bowl using a hand mixer until the mixture is creamy.
- 4. Beat the eggs individually and add them one by one to the butter-sugar mixture.
- 5. Add flour, baking powder, and milk, and stir everything into a smooth batter.
- 6. Place paper liners in a muffin tin.
- 7. Fill the liners with the batter.
- 8. Bake the cupcakes for about 30 to 35 minutes in the oven until they are lightly golden brown.
- 9. Let the cupcakes cool on a wire rack.
- 10. Mix the cream cheese with the remaining butter in a bowl using a hand mixer.
- 11. Sift the powdered sugar and let it trickle in slowly while whipping the cream for about 2 to 3 minutes.
- 12. Hollow out the center of the cooled cupcakes with a teaspoon.
- 13. Fill the hollowed-out cupcakes with the drained cherries.
- 14. Spread the cream over the cupcakes using a piping bag or a spoon.
- 15. Decorate the cupcakes with a walnut.
