🥤 Refreshing Vodka Sour with Homemade Rhubarb Syrup

Ingredients
- Rhubarb 200 g
- Lemons 2 pcs
- Water 200 ml
- Brown sugar 150 g
- Eggs 1 pc
- Vodka 30 ml
- Ice cubes 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 1. Wash the rhubarb thoroughly and cut it into coarse pieces.
- 2. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice.
- 3. Put 200 milliliters of water and the rhubarb pieces into a pot.
- 4. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
- 5. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture steep for about 20 minutes.
- 6. Strain the rhubarb pieces through a sieve and catch the juice.
- 7. Put 150 milliliters of the obtained rhubarb juice into a clean pot.
- 8. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 150 grams of cane sugar.
- 9. Heat the mixture on medium heat until it boils.
- 10. Let the syrup simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 11. Pour the rhubarb syrup into a bottle.
- 12. Let the syrup cool down.
- 13. Separate an egg and use the yolk for another purpose.
- 14. Put 30 milliliters of vodka, 30 milliliters of lemon juice, 20 milliliters of rhubarb syrup, and 10 milliliters of egg white into a shaker.
- 15. Shake the mixture vigorously.
- 16. Add ice cubes to the shaker.
- 17. Shake the mixture vigorously again.
- 18. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
- 19. Strain the vodka sour into the glass.
- 20. Serve the drink and cheers!
