🍳 Crispy Vegan Sandwich with Spinach Cream

Ingredients
- Beef tomatoes 1 pc.
- Chives, fresh 20 g
- Garlic cloves 2 pcs.
- Leaf spinach 100 g
- Olive oil 1 tbsp
- Salt 0.5 tsp
- Vegan fresh spread, plain 4 tbsp
- Country-style mild bread 8 slices
- Margarine, vegan 8 tbsp
- Vegan spread slices 8 slices
Instructions
- 1. Wash the tomato thoroughly and remove the hard stem at the top.
- 2. Slice the tomato into even rounds.
- 3. Wash the chives and shake off excess water.
- 4. Chop the chives into small pieces.
- 5. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
- 6. Wash the spinach in a sieve and let it drain well.
- 7. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan with a lid over medium heat.
- 8. Add the spinach, a pinch of salt, and the chopped garlic to the pan.
- 9. Sauté the spinach until it has wilted.
- 10. Remove excess liquid from the spinach using a sieve.
- 11. Mix the drained spinach with the spread in a bowl.
- 12. Spread 1 tablespoon of margarine on each slice of bread.
- 13. Place 4 bread slices in the pan over medium heat.
- 14. Fry the bread slices on the side with the margarine.
- 15. Place a slice of the spread on the fried bread slice.
- 16. Place 2 slices of tomato on top.
- 17. Sprinkle some chopped chives over the tomatoes.
- 18. Add a spoonful of the spinach cream on top.
- 19. Place additional slices of the spread on the cream.
- 20. Cover the sandwich with another slice of bread.
- 21. Flip the sandwich as soon as the bottom side is golden brown.
- 22. Press the sandwich slightly to help the filling melt.
- 23. Continue frying until the second bread slice is also golden brown.
