  1. 1. Halve the onion and peel it. Cut the onion into thin strips.
  2. 2. Wash the chives. Shake them dry. Cut the chives into fine rings.
  3. 3. Drain the tofu. Pat it dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Crumble the tofu in a bowl. Use your hands or a fork. Make sure the pieces are of different sizes.
  5. 5. Season the tofu with salt, pepper, and turmeric.
  6. 6. Heat 2 tablespoons of plant-based butter in a pan. Set the heat to medium-high.
  7. 7. Add the tofu and onions to the pan.
  8. 8. Fry the mixture for 5 to 6 minutes on all sides.
  9. 9. Add the vegan spread and the vegan grated cheese to the tofu.
  10. 10. Stir everything for about 2 minutes.
  11. 11. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  12. 12. Sprinkle the finished dish with the chives. Serve it.
