🍽️ Crispy Baguette with Fresh Herb Butter

Ingredients
- thyme, fresh 10 g
- rosemary, fresh 10 g
- chives, fresh 10 g
- parsley, fresh 20 g
- garlic cloves 1 pc.
- margarine, vegan 100 g
- salt pinch
- pepper, black ground pinch
- baguette 2 pc.
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with fan.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the fresh herbs under running water.
- 3. Dry the herbs well with a kitchen towel or a salad spinner.
- 4. Pluck the leaves or needles off the tough stems.
- 5. Finely chop the herbs.
- 6. Peel the garlic clove.
- 7. Finely chop the garlic as well.
- 8. Place the chopped herbs and garlic into a small bowl.
- 9. Add the margarine to the bowl.
- 10. Stir the mixture well until it is creamy.
- 11. Season the herb butter with salt and pepper to taste.
- 12. Take the baguette in hand.
- 13. Make several shallow diagonal cuts into the baguette.
- 14. Keep a distance of about two centimeters between the cuts.
- 15. Do not cut the bread all the way through, but only until the bottom crust.
- 16. Spread the herb butter into the created cuts.
- 17. Place the baguette on a baking rack.
- 18. Put the baguette into the preheated oven.
- 19. Bake the baguette for about eight to ten minutes.
- 20. Remove the baguette when it is golden brown and crispy.
- 21. Let the baguette cool down for a short moment.
- 22. Serve the baguette warm.
